Of course, if you’re looking for a cocktail, you’ll need to stop by Silver Peso, which is known for having some of the best bar service around. 

Things to Do

If you love being outdoors, then you’ll fit right in with the rest of the community. Larkspur is full of outdoor recreational areas for residents to enjoy, making it a destination for the nation’s hiking and biking aficionados. Madrone Canyon in Mount Diablo State Park lets residents take an up-close and personal look at the area’s beautiful and varied ecosystem.

The hike takes an average of 1.5 hours to complete with an elevation of 550 feet, making it ideal for beginners and accomplished hikers alike. King Mountain Preserve is another local hotspot with over 100 acres of preserve land for visitors to enjoy, world-class and make sure you check out the array of stunning wildflowers in the spring. 

If you’re looking for someplace to bring your kids on the weekend, then Piper Park is an absolute must. This fun and exciting playground has a wide variety of equipment so children can experiment with their own limits, helping them develop confidence in their own skills. 

Larkspur also has an incredible farmers' market that many residents enjoy every Saturday all year-round. Here, you’ll find everything from fresh-caught fish to hand-pulled mozzarella spread throughout some of the freshest produce in California.
